Software

Overview:

How do I find software for my system?

Every successful kiosk project requires both hardware (which ZIVELO manufactures) and software. There are three options for software with us: No Software, Self Service, or Custom.

No Software: This means that your IT division has already created software for your machines or you a have a public computer network that will run a regular OS on the machine. We then just supply you with the hardware. This is an option for larger and medium-sized companies.

Self Service: We recommend SiteKiosk as our Do-It-Yourself (DIY) option, which offers the best out- of-the-box, customizable software with Secure Browser, Payment Options, Remote Maintenance, and many other features. SiteKiosk is sold on a per-license basis and can range from $99-$260 which makes sense for deployments of less than 100 machines.

Custom: We have partnered with several software companies to provide our customers custom software development. These companies’ skilled teams can create just about anything for a project, from interface design, to data security, to remote maintenance and support. There are much higher fees for these types of custom services, however, there is only a one-time fee that can be applied to all machines that are deployed without a per-license structure. Typically this is a logical choice for large rollouts of 100 or more units.

If you are not sure which direction you would like to go with software, give us a call and one of our highly-trained consultants will guide you in the right direction.

SiteKiosk: Top Features

Automatic and maintenance-free operation of your kiosks 24/7

SiteKiosk safeguards each machine as soon as it boots up against any manipulation and ensures that the machine will run without a hitch 24/7. BIOS settings can be used to automatically turn the computer on in the morning. You can leave the rest to SiteKiosk as it can shut down the machine at any time in the evening or at night. Installing additional virus protections software is not necessary. You can use SiteRemote software to conveniently maintain your machines from a remote location.

Easy Configuration

Using the Configuration Wizard, included with all versions of SiteKiosk, configuring the software is fast and easy. No programming skills are required as you are taken step-by-step through the setup process. Each section of the Configuration Wizard features a ‘Help’ button, which will provide you with more detailed information on the corresponding setup option.

Integrated and adjustable secure browser

SiteKiosks’s integrated kiosk browser is based on Microsoft’s Internet Explorer and is capable of displaying the same content such as Web pages, images (.gif, .jpg, .png, and .bmp), videos, Flash and PDF files, etc. The difference between this browser and Internet Explorer is that SiteKiosks’s integrated browser leaves it up to you which features and Web sites you allow users to access and what the visible interface is supposed to loo like. For instance, SiteKiosk allows you to completely redesign all buttons (SiteKiosk Object Model) or display content in fullscreen mode.

Hardware Components

Out of the box, SiteKiosk already includes support for a wide range of hardware components including card readers, motion sensors, webcams, coin acceptors, bill readers, scanners, etc. This allows you to respond to the requirements of any project in a quick and flexible manner.

Multiple-language user interface

SiteKiosk ships with over 20 different display languages to accommodate a larger user base. The individual user can select the language of his/her choice as they use the browser interface. SiteKiosk will automatically switch back to the preset default language at the end of the session.
